SiJ
Would imagine he ends up paying some fine and doesn't end up in jail. Ronaldo, Messi etc., all had cases brought against them for tax fraud whilst playing in Spain.

I've no problem with the top people in sports earning top money, but tax evasion, no, not with his income.
lukeyswfc
Seems common in Spain doesnt it? Like others have done he’ll just pay some millions back and move on. Why do they do it at their wage though is beyond me. Guess it’s how the rich stay rich

Cynical as it is, it's far easier to get these wealthy individuals to pay a fine, give them a slap on the wrist and move on. There doesn't appear to be much appetite for protracted legal proceedings which could go on for years.

matthefish2002
Remember when Harry Redknapp was accused of fiddling his taxes and opening a bank account in his dogs name.
Burnsie
One question though.... Do they have awareness of this...like if you employ an accountant to sort your finances (which he probably does when earning this much from lots of sources) how does the lay person keep track of it all? He'll have accountants, financial advisers, a wealth management company, the lot. Tax avoidance is fine, evasion is not. Whether he has told his advisors about the alleged 'missing funds' we don't know.
