This Summer - Ins and Outs

Rhodes hasn't been palying enough and therefore didn't fancy it. Not great I admit, but at least he was honest.

FF just sauntered up believing his own hype and took a casual penalty my granny could have saved, even allowing for getting out of the Shackletons High Seat chair. If he is our 'quality' we are in trouble next season.

Never ever slate a player for missing in a penalty shoot out.

Regardless of what you may think of Forestieri, at least he had the guts to stand up and take one.

I remember watching Shearer score 9 out of 10 with a blindfold on in training.

I agree it takes bottle to stand up in that atmosphere, but someone on £30k+ per week should be able to beat the keeper from 12 yards out.

It was a poor penalty and you can't excuse that.

If only it were that simple.

So what you're saying is if you earn a certain amount as a footballer, you shouldn't miss a penalty? By that definition, almost every international match in the latter stages of a knock out tournament would have ever lasting penalty shoot outs as nobody would be missing!!

Regardless of how much he earns, Forestieri is a human just like everyone else and nerves do get to everyone, it's a fact of life.

As I say, last night was a time for players to stand up and be counted, Forestieri did and for that I will not criticise him.

Ps./ Apologies everyone for going a bit off topic of the thread!!!lol

That was a poor one too so not sure what you are on about?

I was wondering why Rhodes got all the stick but I'm happy for Hutchinson to take some flak too if you are that bothered about spreading it around.

Jota is the fast, goal scoring winger we need. Right age (25) and out of contract at Brentford now.

Are you sure about that one ? Judge is out of contract but I would be amazed if Jota was. That would be madness.

Just checked up on Jota:

Although he is out of contract next summer, the Bees have a club option of a year's extension, which would keep him at Griffin Park until 2018.

Yeah, just done the same, conflicting reports, but some seem to suggest the clause was activated last week.

Judge would be a nice alternative though, if that was the case.
