Guest mkowl
Great newspaper clipping love that stuff as they record social history in a way that was probably not envisaged at the time. The bit about the players getting love letters (from the GIRL enthusiasts) didn't have the gays back then of course. Or that us simple northern folk would provide rich entertainment people watching to those in the cultured capital. Or more pertinent that the train companies actually realised they needed to provide enough trains to get folk there but the reality of course was there was no other option - dread to think how long by road would have taken. Would have been roadworks no doubt anyway !
horny owl
So when will the club be writing a letter to West Brom explaining that they'd better return our ball? Who the phook do they think they are nicking our match winning ball anyway?
theowlsman
Been thinking for a while about this one. I'll be honest, I can't remember taking a pigeon to a game. Think I once took a boiled egg though

anglers owl
No pigeons, but I once came back from Cardiff with that real pigs head, put it between two slices of bread and offered Boothy the coach driver a pork sandwich, nearly wrote the bus off
