dan140177
Having looked at the stats on bbc sport website, shots, shots on target and possession. Why did it look like Barnsley had the better of the game and were hard done to on tv? Surely the FLS should've looked at these stats and painted a more true picture of the game. There wasn't a mention of the 9 defenders the Owls had to try and break down for 60 minutes. Ridiculous.
eckington owl
Most of the game consisted of us trying to score while they had 10 men crammed into their box; hardly any highlights in that is there?
torryowl
its a highlights show ...a couple of saves from Kirkland ,the penalty appeal,3 red cards ,1 save from there keeper,us hitting the post and the goal just about sums up what happened. Thought they'd have included nuhiu's miss and the 3 times llera went in at the back post and just missed sticking it in by a couple of inches on all occasions. theowlsman
Does it matter? We won 1-0 We got 3 points. We are now 9 points above them. Try these stats instead.

Taximark
At the game I thought it was a stone wall penalty for Mellis, looking at it on TV I thought the ref called it right.

There wasn't a mention of the 9 defenders the Owls had to try and break down for 60 minutes. Ridiculous. I think they must have edited it to fit in with Walkers commentary. The commentary and the highlights, especially the first half would have given the neutral supporter the impression we were under the cosh. Just shows you why people who base their opinions on TV and Radio reports often get the wrong impression of the team, and individual performances Edited February 2, 2014 by intercity0wl
dan140177
Walker saying there was definite contact as Mellis threw himself to try and gain a penalty pissed me off.there was definite contact, Mellis stuck his leg out to make the contact then chucked himself on the ground. What a nobhead.
till_i_die
Mellis should have been booked for that attempt at a dive. And for shoving JJ when he (JJ) got sent off - he was lucky JJ didn't throw himself on the floor and roll around like he'd been shot, he was just too shocked at being sent off for a dangerously high challenge. I've still not seen the Maguire shout where he got booked - anyone know whether that was a pen? Even if Maguire hadn't smashed it in at the last, we should have had a pen as they were trying to clear it. I think it was Semedo they tripped up?
