I could have told DJ that Gary Madine would be ineffective on his own up front. Players to me look likea fish out of water & do not look at ease with these formations. But how many Owlstalkers will be prepared to admit that they were excited at the prospect of him coming here? As I recall, a clear majority thought he was about all we needed to mount a real promotion challenge. So if Jones is incompetent for seeking to make that move... I'm just highlighting that some of those criticising the manager for signing Bothroyd would have done precisely the same thing in his position.
