Beholder
He wasn't lazy, he just conserved his energy for what he was best at. In fact he did alot of tracking back as i remember. It was only when we were losing that people tried to make him a scapegoat..
Guest BirdonaMaguire
Same here. Can't see the connection. I stopped drinking and smoking years ago. Fitter than I've ever been. It's probably the pissheads who reckoned Darren Potter was useless. MK Dons player of the year, last season. Mind you, it helps when there's only 7,000 there. 20,000 booing you when you are stood on the touchline to come on can't help your confidence. Even Chris Brunt used to get barracked. And older ones will remember Chris Morris- went onto play for years at the top level with Middlesbro and Celtic. Still the pissheads and nicotine-besotted ones pay enough in taxes to subsidise the rest of us- so no complaints here. Darren Potter was gash, whether I enjoy a drink or not, he was an absolute coward at this football club, Chris Morris had a reasonable career but nothing standoutish and wouldn't have got ahead of Buckets or Zico anyway. Lees Tom Cat
I think Darren Potter was always pi$$ed up when playing for us.

Gateford_Owl
In my teens and twenties I used to get totally and utterly poofaced...to the point of passing out. I then grew up, decided I couldn't hack it anymore, and can now be seen sipping a cup of tea or a latte in the Phes on match days!
Mike Oxlong
I think some people kn here drink way too much to have their opinion considered valid. I cant be bothered drinking before a game. I dont enjoy the game half as much and tend to miss half of what is happening if ive had a few pints.

scowl
I've just been given the all clear after my prostate cancer blood test. 3 years clear now. The dreaded drink is what got me through. Each to his own.
