The cost of watching championship football.

Recommended Posts

The average cost of the cheapest adult ticket in the top four divisions of English football has risen by 11.7% in the past 12 months - more than FIVE times the rate of inflation.

The BBC Sport Price of Football study shows that the average price of the cheapest matchday ticket in English league football has gone from £19.01 to £21.24

The study looked at prices for 166 clubs in 10 divisions across British football, including the Conference Premier and Women's Super League.

It recorded the prices for the most expensive, and cheapest, season tickets and adult matchday tickets as well as the cost of a cup of tea, a pie, and a programme - to calculate the cheapest possible day out at a match.

It's completely ridiculous.

When football prices should have been frozen or being reduced to be more in line with people's decreasing disposable income, they've gone completely in the other direction, and quicker at that!

I don't think football will ever wake up

I think our pricing is about right. I pay about £20 per game on my ST on the North and I think that's fair enough. It's when we get to the prem we'll really need to worry.

Chap on Five Live has just said that if Liverpool were to reduce their wage bill by just 10%, they could afford to reduce matchday ticket prices by £15 per ticket

Would be good to see the Liverpool players come together as a unit and decide to do that

Typical BBC

Eh ?

BBC is the best media institution in THE WHOLE WORLD

Pretty misleading, as stated, there was only 1 game out of 23 available at £20 last season.

Compares Kops

Sheff Weds Cat A £26 Sheff Weds Cat B £24

Leeds Cat A £31 Leeds Cat B £26

Compare Main Stands (Your North & South)

Sheff Weds Cat A £30/£28 Sheff Weds Cat B £28/26

Leeds Cat A £38/£36 Leeds Cat B £36/£34
