FreshOwl
Used to see Di Canio and Carbone all the time driving up and down Eccy Road in that Porsche. I think that's all they did all day after training, drive around visiting coffee shops and being Italian. I also remember seeing Carbone playing in that arcade in Meadowhall on that bowling game. Weird.
Birstall Owl
Like others have said after the Nilsson, Sheridan, Hirst era Carbone was my favourite player. While Di Canio was by far the better footballer I always thought Beni was the better team player. The goal against Newcastle was on my wedding day, at least something good came of the 9th August
Big Fish
Cracking player but nowhere near as talented as Di Canio. Or Chris Waddle for that matter
WatfordOwl
He played second fiddle to Di Canio but came into his own a bit more once Paolo sent Paul Alcock on his way to becoming a role model for Tom Daley. To me he just did not play with the same sort of passion and fire in his belly that Di Canio did but when he was on it he was a class apart. Definitely best turned out Wednesday player ever though, even on the pitch with his sweatbands
