wednesdaywizard
As the coach drove on in, to a sea of blue and white No one could have foreseen the pure joy of that night All our dreams were unfolding, it couldn't be true see those the ribbons on the cup?! Not white-red, but white-blue!! There's a great save from Turner, and Sheridan's rocket, Roland Nilsson runs by... with Lee Sharpe in his pocket, Just a small team from Sheffield, were giving a scare, to a team full of champions.... and Brian McClair. Back to S6 we ran with the 'Cup Rumbelows' That team humbled the champions, and from one league below. Now that win is a glimpse of this great club's past glory. Nothing more than a memory, nothing more than a story, To pass on to the fans yet to know how it feels, To support a great club, still attached to it's wheels. (ropey, might do some more work on this at some point and make it actually good , you get the sentiment though. ) UTO.

theowlsman
Clap your hands, light a rocket Nilssons got Sharpe in his back pocket The balls knocked through to Williams (nearly) But good news lads, he's nobbled Sealey. What a day to work up a thirst, I propose a toast to David Hirst Harkesy, Harkesy, USA Go on punk, make my day Big Nige Pearson at the back Snuffs out Hughes who's playing cack Stopping McClair from getting a sniff, Alongside Nige, there's Pete Shirtliffe We all cheer, shout, and sing Cos on the left we have Phil King No takeover bid, no bankroll It's Chrissy Turner in our goal Danny Wilson, full of running And Big Fat Ron, who takes the sun in Nigel Worthington down the left Helps red nosed Fergie feel bereft Lawrie and Trev ready to play their part Our style of play is like fine art But cometh the hour, cometh the man Johnny, Johnny, Johnny, Johnny Sheridan We celebrate, we shed our tears, Sadly, our last trophy in 20 years But don't give up, your bags don't pack, We're The Wednesday, we'll be back!!!! Salmonbones
My first excursion to Wembly, was 13. Won't forget that day till I die, for the trip there, the game - the teddies being thrown, the atmospher, the trip back - the gloating at school, every football fan should experience such a day, I may never get a day like it again.........although I live in hope.
