DJMortimer
Central midfield has been poo for ages, since Palmer and Sheridan the only player who was anything near good enough was Whelan I liked the look of Ian Taylor, but for some reason Francis stuck him out on the wing for a few games where he was hopeless. So much so in fact that we swapped him for Guy Whittingham before Christmas of his first season and no one seemed to be too bothered he was leaving. He went on to do a good job for Villa for several years after that.
shandypants
A running theme this season and one of the two major things that has been holding us back - that and the refusal to press the opponents when they have the ball, which you also mentioned. Agree.
pgmetcalf
If he could trap a ball then pass it, if he could pass in front of a player instead of behind him, if he could turn with the ball, if he didn't stand bang next to miller all match but instead moved into space, if he had any spaceful awareness or anticipation at all, he'd be a much better player. Woodseats Owl
Also noticed yesterday he's very one footed and always has to move the ball on to his right foot, should work on using his left foot more.
