Dreadful defending

Recommended Posts

There was a hell of a lot of "ambling around" and leaving the challenge for "someone else" wasn't there?

It honestly looked like we were down to 10 or even 9 men, we were that far off the pace.

Something has changed, or been said and it happened between the *eeds and Ipswich game, maybe after the Ipswich battering.

You.can visibly see the change in body language AND effort.

Why was anyone out of position for the corner?

Surely our best bet would be to keep our shape, attempt to curl it into the corner, then worse case, it goes over the bar for a goal kick.

It's clearly more dangerous to us packing the opposition's box.

If I were an opposition manager, I'd gift us as many corners as possible, and have my quickest 4 players in advanced positions, ready to score every time. Easy 3pts.

A breakaway goal doesn’t look good

But it feels like we’ve conceded from corners / balls into our box all season (see the first goal at Boro)

When the opposition gets a corner I start to worry.

When we get a corner, I REALLY start to worry!!!
