Monk started Brown in the first three games of the season, then he missed the next five through injury before being reintroduced from the bench in his final three matches in charge - two of which were for half an hour or more.

 

Monk seemed to have a fair bit of faith in Brown. It's only since he was sacked that Brown's been reduced to the odd cameo here or there.

 

In fact, 79% of his league minutes so far this season have come under Monk.
