Subs come on when the other players are tired and the chances of scoring are better because of this, a good impact sub will score a lot more goals than one starting.

 

 

 

A goal counts the same whenever it was scored, whoever it was scored by and whether they started the game or not. Does anybody say about Solskjaer's record, "ah yes, but he scored so often from the bench"? It's just a silly and unnecessary attempt to diminish something because it doesn't fit cosily within a rigid box.

 

Whether you like it or not, Nuhiu scored only fractionally less often than Hirst did according to this. They are just the facts and it's pretty pointless railing against that. But it seems the only person making any kind of direct comparison between them is you. NOBODY thinks the pair of them can be described as similar in talent because of this. That's just one of the many reasons why I always say that statistics are interesting but only very rarely should they be considered remotely conclusive.

Not gonna miss the big lump, he wasn't very good really was he? I will however miss people on here fudging his stats and comparing him to David Hirst and Dennis Bergkamp.
