First half tactics

Our first half performances have been poor. It's same old same old. No pace, side to side pap.

I've just made a similar thread, I didn't see yours.

 

It was embarrassing.

 

At one point, Bannan, Wallace and Lee were practically stood next to each othe over on the right hand side of the pitch, leaving a gaping hole over on the other side.

 

That's what happens when you play, Lee, Bannan and Jones in the same midfield.

 

He should never have started them all.

 

Bannan just naturally drifts inside. 

 

We had no attacking threat down the left hand side in the first half. 

 

We were predictable, unbalanced, and one paced.

 

United deserve huge credit, but Carlos's tactics and formation were nothing short of digraceful.

The worst performance in a Derby I've ever seen. Not just by us, by any team. No fight, no urgency, just a team of bottlers.

This will go down as one of the biggest fails in a derby match ever ... 

 

cc ahould have gone 442 and shut up shop for first 20 mins. Instead we played 4whateverelse. No rascal knew what they were doing, no bite, no passion, no fight, no commitment, no intelligence, no nothing ...

The same midfield that took 7 of 9 points last week?

 

i can see an argument that he could have done something different against the pigs and their midfield, but starting jones, lee, and Bannan has been working just fine.
