Bearwood Owl1
I want to buy a ticket for the Millwall game this week. I'll have to get a train back from the local South Bermondsey station at 22:28 - just wondered whether the local police are likely to keep us back. Has anyone any experience of the New Den? Guest Kray
we dint get held back after the simek goal game there. doubt they would anyway for a midweek game, hardly be anyone there anyway.
Bearwood Owl1
Thanks Kray - that's what I hoped. I like to go to a new ground or two each year. For one reason or another, Millwall is the only new one I could get to this year - hence the midweek visit. Wouldn't want to get stuck there though! Sam779
For the last match there we went by car. People who went by train were allowed to go straight to the station using 'cowards way' which is a covered tunnel walk straight to the train station from the away end. It might be worth Googling whether that's still in use as I think I've read somewhere there might be building/repair works in the area. Those by coach went straight on their respective buses and were pretty soon escorted out. However everyone else were held in the concourse for a good 20 minutes afterwards. punkskaphil
we dint get held back after the simek goal game there. I certainly was, along with plenty of others. I think they allow enough people up to the rail platform to fill it, and then close the gates until after the train has left, then let the next lot of fans through for the next train. I've bought a ticket anyhow will go with no colours and aim to get out quickly! Hopefully celebrating a massive Owls victory...

Loppy
I've got to get back to Euston by 11:30 - fingers crossed eh?Worst case (last) 22:43 South Bermondsey - London Bridge. (22:48)Northern Line 23:00 - Euston arrive 23:12. And for St Pancras, Same train, same tube. Gets there 1 minute earlier. Can't hold us back an hour. Surely. The trains from South Bermondsey are 13, 28, 43 and 58 mins past every hour for earlier. Edited March 20, 2013 by Loppy
Bearwood Owl1
Thanks Loppy. I'm confident I'll be ok really - wouldn't have bought a ticket otherwise! I booked a train via the trainline and it only showed trains from s bermondsey every 30 mins but either way it'll be ok!
Guest chapeltom
I'm going by train too, 1st class there and back for £35, stopping at my mate's down in Woolwich for the night after. I can't see many going, as out of the last 5 aways Bristol C/Millwall/Leeds/Blackpool/Peterborough, this will be last of people's priorities. Gonna be a vital match though. Bearwood Owl1
£12.50 return from Brum not first class mind but makes it a cheap day out at least.
