Watford_owl
while playing 442 we have won 4 games while playing 451 we have won 2 games we have ruffly played the same amount of games whit both formations if we include games where bothroyd was in front of midfield. this to me says it all time for Dave Jones to go
Mr. Chow
4-2-4 is where its at, we have a lot of strikers just go for it!

Ronio
we have to go back to 442 otherwise DJ will end up getting the sack
gurujuan
We have a lot of strikers but there isn't a decent partnership amongst them None other than Bothroyd have scored goals at this level. OK Madine got goals in division one. How many, 18 in a promotion winning season? Meh, Big Leon already has nine for Sflaphorpe in a fraction of the games. Choose whichever system we play, and a good side can switch as situations dictate, we will still need to bring in a quality finisher
DJMortimer
There's too much emphasis on formation as if that alone dictates how a team plays. There's much more to it than that.

Agreed we can't defend very well , so we might as well have a go. 4-4-2 for me.
BRADDAZ
There's too much emphasis on formation as if that alone dictates how a team plays. There's much more to it than that. ^^^^ This. This. This. Does a few numbers dictate instructions... ...on who pressures the ball? ...on when to pressure the ball? ...on fullbacks and when they can go forward? ...on who is allowed to support in attacks? ...on how deep we play? ...on the allowed movement from the midfield players when we have possession? Does it f*ck. It really isn't as simple as changing 4-5-1 to 4-4-2 and then suddenly we'll start or have a better chance of picking up results. The whole tactical set up of team, not just a few numbers needs looking at if we're to start.
