Guest Wirrowl
I was watching that YaYa bloke running through the Real Madrid midfield defence last week with em all hanging off him like kids. "Who does that remind me of?" I thought. Why - none other than Carlton Palmer! Things I remember saying when we had Carlton at his peak:- 1/ It's like having 12 players! 2/ It's like having a horse on the team! What a legend he was. He got such a bad press that if you mention him to fans of other teams they assume you are going to slag him off. I wouldn't have swapped him for any other midfielder at the time. He was ahead of the game. Once he fixed his early wayward finishing he becam virtually unplayable. Like that YaYa fella.

beano
Thought this was going to be a thread about young Liam at Tranmere..
Guest Wirrowl
As a Wirral man I'm keeping a close eye on the press/comments about young Liam. Yesterday for instance he was trying to flog an i-phone on Twitter. I wasn't surprised he went to Tranmere - anybody go to the game at their place last season where he had to play at full-back? After a shaky start he turned into a superstar. His best game for the Owls if you ask me. Tranny fans are praising him tha knows.
BarnOwl55
Is Liam he on a season long loan or just til January? If he's playing with confidence in the matches and not just training, DJ might be inclined to call him back in the New Year if possible?
Guest Wirrowl
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liam_Palmer#Tranmere_Rovers_Loan It's just till January in the first instance. Playing well by all accounts. Am a bit worried DJ just wanted rid of everybody Meggo got in. Deffo too much change too fast I think. Hopefully it will bed down. PopePiusX
18 yard. Definitely outside the box, I'd say 22 yards, that's the sort of distance people score from.
