Im not saying either way that GM is the right man for the job, but sacking him now is just pointless. He needs to reassure the fans and the players that there is going to be stability from now until end of season. If we dont go up then things can be looked at in the summer and changes made if necessary. The feel good factor is back after this performance and more importantly result and the last thing we need is further upheaval. He can stop all this nonsense, all the reports and gossip and then the players can concentrate on getting promoted, which is the main objective. Wednesday-Wonderland Posted February 26, 2012 Share Posted February 26, 2012 the notion of sacking him was ridiculous in the first place. we are where we should be when you consider that we've spent peanuts. charlton bought a whole new squad (17 players was it?), hudds have spent loads, the pigs have a competitive championship level wage budget etc etc. plus, look at where we are now and how proud we can be of our club compared to this time last season. disgraceful if megson gets sacked, absolutely disgraceful. Guest utOwlz Posted February 26, 2012 Share Posted February 26, 2012 I would like to hear from Mandaric on these rumours of a meeting with Dave Jones, id also like him to clarify where he stands with Megson. For this story about meeting Jones to come out today of all flippingdays, and for the lads still go and put in a good hard working performance for Megson was awesome, it showed the togetherness is still there. People have said its bang out of order for Milan to meet another manager, and it is, but its also bang out of order for another manager to meet the chairman of a fellow manager that is still in work. When Megson made the comment about hoping for Lee Clark that he had not been stabbed in the back by another manager, i hope he wasnt referring to himself somewhere in that statement too.
