sonofbert2
First game I can remember is Peterborough at home in either 1978 or 1979. (I'll have a look later), It sticks because their nickname was "The Posh". I think they used to put the other team's nickname on the back of the programme in those days. stoff
March 8 1980. Beat Wimbledon 3-1. Think McCulloch scored a couple. I was 7. Remember Hillsborough being big and loud. Sat on the the north stand giggling apparently. That doesn't tend to happen these days.

I think they used to put the other team's nickname on the back of the programme in those days. They did. Had the same drawing of a couple of players jumping for a header in between the two line-ups for bloody years too. And the numbers were just the right size and colour to fit on the back of my Subbuteo players to make the Wednesday kit a bit more realistic. fife_owl
1990/1991 season. We played west ham and it was 1-1. Hirst scored early on. I remember that game. Hammers started singing "give us a goal Trevor Morley" over and over. I think he did! - nobber.

The programme was really important for the half-time scores with the matches and corresponding letter on the board. There was a mention of the old scoreboards on another thread recently. I used to really look forward to matching them up.
