Normally you'd expect a very aggresive response when trying to take another club's captain, but Irvine seemed extremely open to the idea. Fingers crossed it can work out for the best for everyone- Purse has had a long enough and good enough career to have earned himself a 'fairytale' ending at the club he's supported since he was a boy. Yep. When he said we have to look at his contract it's obvious to all the club have accepted the bid. Wonder if the booing on Saturday has made DP's decision any easier..? I think it makes sense for him to move as he's on a big wage here and he isnt the future. But I do think we miss a few leaders in the team at times and that in itself will be a loss.
