Guest Owl30
My point more than anything was the players Irvine brought in have already failed for me. Otsemebor and Jones are no where near good enough to pull a shirt on, any Wednesdayite who follows Wednesday home and away including the friendlies will convene. I can't even class them as squad players there that bad.
Utah Owl
There's a case for both sides of the argument here. Yes a good cup run would generate much needed revenue, but equally what if our strongest team had been put out from the start and say Tudders or Mellor or Coke were badly injured, where would that have left us apart from in much deeper s**t than we are now. Because of the finances of the Championship our focus has to be on getting back up there and the cups really are a distraction from that.
gurujuan
There is no argument You put out your strongest side and hope to win it, if not what is the point in entering . Will we take the same approach in the FA cup? The potential for injury is always there whether it be a league match, a cup match or a game on the training pitch. M Royds
Shame we lost as we've just missed out on a crowd pleasing money draw against Man Utd who have the honour of playing at Scunny in the next round.
