Wynyard Owl
Once contracted a manager is Quids in. Do well and get a bonus. Mess up, get the chop and still get a lump sum to encourage him to leave, probably to walk into a new job i would like to see all managerial contracts honoured in full the ones appointing the manager should be held accountable for the choices made if this system was implemented we would feel safe in the knowledge that Sunderland and their ilk could not just walk in and take our manager who I believe will save the day and then take us up the league

Wynyard Owl
I meant to imply that they should remain to manage the club that gave the contract. Suggesting that they could not manage another club during the term of the contract

WBridgfordowl
The norm nowadays, outside of the premiership, is a three month compensation package when a manager is sacked. The actual length of a manger's contract doesn't really mean much

Obviously not all contracts will have the same clauses.
