Decidedly average players have had great careers at their boyhood clubs but in this day and age, the sad thing is that if he's average, he will probably stay but if turns out to be any good he will be off long before he gets to his best years. That's true, it'd be difficult to turn down the money, especially given the lifespan of the career of MOST footballers, the ever present risk of a career-ending injury, and so on... Still, it was nice to hear him say what he did.
