End Of October Comparison Chart & data.

At the end of October we are 5 points and 9 places better off than last season. Our points total puts us bang on the playoff line.

 

The competitive nature of the division this season is intense with just 6 points separating the top 12 teams.

 

6 points from the next two would be fantastic and have us challenging for automatic places as we go into the pre Christmas International break. it won't be easy though Blackburn are hard to beat this time round and Swansea will expect to be in the shake-up at the end of the season. If we are genuine contenders we need to be beating Blackburn and taking points of Swansea. Beating Swansea will be even better.

This time last season we were two games into a ten match run that gave us just five points.

If, after the next eight games, we aren't nearer 15 points ahead of last season than the current five, then there's something amiss with our promotion hopes.

Last October began with us in the play off positions then ended with us a few points off the bottom 3 if I remember correctly. The Wednesday way. Ecstasy to agony in a few weeks. Everything just feels a bit better this year.
