Atdhe Nuhiu

I was thinking about this: Could it be something as simple as Nuhiu being much more suited to playing as part of a 2?

That run of good form when Jos came in coincided with him playing alongside Joao, and when he comes off the bench we are invariably chasing the game and so he is playing as a second striker.

Compare that to when he starts matches, when more often than not he’s up front on his own.

I bet Holmowl can dig up some stats, but Hooper said quite categorically in an interview that he loved having Nuhiu as a strike partner.  He showed his best goalscoring form alongside Joao, I thought when FF played up top with him against Burnley a few seasons back, we'd cracked it with the big man, little man combo. He showed promise with Matias of all people and if I recall, himself and Wickham had some good moments under Gray.  Yeah, I'd say if he had a quick, agile strike partner, playing off the last man, the partnership would be effective.  However, whilst ever he isn't in a partnership with the goals flying in, he will always be castigated as not good enough.  The truth would seem to be that he is held in high esteem by managers and his peers.

I'd take their opinion over ours any day.

Fletcher softens them up, just when the defenders think they're nearing the end of a busy workout they look over and see that beast coming on, they know they'll have their work cut out (most games).

The way he was bouncing Huddersfield players around when he came on was a joy to watch, almost toying with them.

always available, rarely injured, never takes the huff

Yet we get the "Just playing for a contract..new manager ..etc etc"

The bloke turns up..and yea I know we could ALL do that....but he's a better player than he is given credit for...and has got us outta jail today..as he has done before.

Its a pity we cannot give him the same slack as Rhodes, Forestieri ..even such as bloody Butterfield got..

Sadly Adthes dad isn't a Wednesday fan...Sadly Adthe hasn't gone awol cos some other player is earning more than him...

Adthes problem is that he is prepared to come off the bench, prepared to start a game, and doesn't hide behind vapid excuses and pander to the crowd...

Yet it still seems he's Marmite

That last minute goal will live for a while with me..Its moments like that ..that bring me alive as an Owls fan..The muck the bullets the "Give it one last go" scenario

Adthe was up for it....he was there for it..not having a f.ookin' massage or watchin' on from a warm seat in the stand

The lack of appreciation from some Wednesday fans baffles me..We are not Man City, Liverpool etc..

We hope to be summat in the coming years....and its players like Nuhiu that will have helped on that journey..

But I reckon some will still hail such as Bothroyd, jeffers and Butterfield...

All players who are not fit to lace the blokes boots.

We are where we are...We have what we have...and I for one am well happy that in a contemporary way

We have Adthe Nuhiu...

Thanks for today adthe...I thoroughly enjoyed it..

What more do folk f.ookin' want?

Absolute cracking analogy sir.
