He played at Barnsley and then another 90 mins against Derby and that game he put big shift in. When was the last time he played 3 full games in a week? Today probably wasn’t a question of priorities between Cup and League is was just saying we don’t want Joao to play 3 games in 8 days. The view was probably that if he had played he wouldn’t have had the energy required to perform and would be risking injury and we definitely don’t want him injured. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
