Ronnie Starling Posted October 17, 2017 Share Posted October 17, 2017 We have had opportunities to put Penney in the first team such as Chesterfield at home in the league cup. This is why its frustrating that we don't seem to take the cup competitions more serious and tend to go out with a whimper. Cambridge last season was an example of this. Putting Penney in the team would have shown the management what he was capable of and maybe he could be a solution to stop the hoarding of left backs that simply aren't good enough. I remember Wilkinson, Francis and Atkinson would take a junior along with first team to help their progression. Good to hear Head Coach was present.
