HarrowbyOwl
Both clubs were interesting in a Thai consortium earlier that year. Perhaps when they no longer had a choice they closed a deL quickly. Chansiri was rumoured to be involved in that consortium. samrit B (Mr Big) was the public face but some threat - of a due diligence nature? - seems to have led to him walking. Pete P was often seen in late 2014 at Reading games but from dec he's been appearing at Owls games, ie pre and post Chansiri. Samrit B (Mr Big) is now under investigation for money laundering by the Thai Anti-Money Laundering Office (AMLO) so it looks like it was a good call not to involve him. darra
Perhaps this is just a real life Championship Manager between Narin and Dejphon. The winner is the first one to get to the Premiership. That'd be a hell of a conversation "We're trying to get a couple of teams into the Premiership on Championship manager" " Oh really what console you using?" "Sky bet championship" "oh "
daveyboy66
RE: Chansiri was rumoured to be involved in that consortium. Where did that rumour come from? Pete P and his father Pairoj were obviously brokers for the Reading deal. Pairoj was there when Samrit B signed the initial deal. Pete P often did and still does appear with DC at Hillsborough and he acted as translator at the first press conference. There's obviously a lot of past football experience available to DC via the Reading link. Pairoj P was on the Man City board and Reading board member Taweesuk (Jack) Srisumrid was executive director at Man City. Wonder if DC is getting advice from them? Sp perhaps he's not such a virgin with only Roeder to talk to...another owlstalk myth
