steelowl
Anbody watched the league cup fixture Spurs v Hull Cannot believe the inconsistency Walker flew in off the ground against Quinn ( but who wouldn't) and the ref thought about it and said something like cut it out and didnt give the bugger even a yellow Clear intent imo far worse than Semedo's is there any wonder managers / fans / players get on Ref's backs

Guest Carl73
The difference is one plays for England and the other plays for us. It's always been the seem if you look at some of the tackles made by Scholes Shearer etc who were spoken to or booked when the likes of Savage or Vinny Jones were often dismissed on reputation alone. It's pretty much the same that referees seem to believe that Antonio is a diver thus won't award a penalty to him.
alanharper
The main example of inconsistency was in the same game. Only minutes earlier the Bolton player got a yellow for a far worse challenge, yet Semedo plays the ball and gets a red.

Ronio
Refs are increasingly getting worse and worse. All the big clubs seem to get away with it. Its time to bring in some video refs like they have in rugby.

You could have a point if it weren't for the fact that in a very long career, Robbie Savage was only sent off twice. Admittedly Jones was sent off about a dozen times, but regardless of what you say, he was just a footballing thug.
