Lincs Owl Posted September 27, 2012 Share Posted September 27, 2012 Martin hodge was the man between the sticks when I began my love affair...always dependable...remember him being 4th choice for England when I think Gary Bailey was looking doubtful. Think it was Mexico 86 but not sure...anyone? Surprised Chris 'Englands No1' Woods has not had a mention.:) :) That's cos he basically lost us the 1993 Cup Final, plus he made a few blunders against the Blades. OhForAnotherShez Posted September 27, 2012 Share Posted September 27, 2012 (edited) I too saw Ron Springett play at Leicester and I thought it the best performance I have seen from a goalkeeper with banks at the other end playing a terrific game. Me too that was THE goalkeeping display. To be honest banks only had the ball to pick out of the net from Ritchie, and react to our banter.
