He's a good one Agent Wilson...

Recommended Posts

All he is wanting to do is celebrate like crazy, its been building up inside him all season, it must be killing him not being able to show off the famous blue and white stripes in alongside the red sh!te

Good to see that he is acting like a true professional, still busy at work, helping to foil the snortbeasts chances of getting through in the playoffs, have a read:

SHEFFIELD UNITED: Danny Wilson to appeal against James Beattie red card

By James Shield Sheffield United

Published on Monday 7 May 2012 07:25

Sheffield United manager Danny Wilson is expected to appeal against the red card which could rule striker James Beattie out of the League One play-offs.

Beattie was dismissed during the first-half of Saturday’s 2-2 draw with Exeter City following a full-bloodied challenge on defender James Dunne.

But Wilson, whose side now face Stevenage over two legs for the right to face either Huddersfield Town or MK Dons at Wembley later this month, said: “We’ve got nothing to lose (by appealing).

“It was a great tackle from James - yes he went through - but it was a great tackle and it’s one I’d have been proud to make.

“He won the ball cleanly and he wasn’t trying to break anyone’s leg. It was just a good hard tackle.

“The problem is that there will be four people on a panel looking at it who know nothing about football. That’s what we are fighting against.”

United, finishing behind Charlton and Sheffield Wednesday in the table despite amassing 90 points, travel to the Lamex Stadium on Friday before hosting the return at Bramall Lane a week today.

Stevenage trailed third placed United by 17 points in the rankings but are unbeaten against Wilson’s side this term.

“We‘ve got a great chance of going up and we‘ve got to try and take it,” he added. “We know Stevenage are going to be tough. They’re a good side but we are too.”

Beattie was said to be distraught after being sent-off.

“James can’t speak because he’s so gutted,” Wilson said. “And I know exactly how he feels. The lad is sat there feeling like he’s let everyone down but he hasn’t so I’m not going to castigate him. The referee has let us down.”

Is Wilson catching the blades dirty views on football?

Had that been an owls player we would have expected hol to be sent off!

Cos he's a blade he's expected to get special treatment! Wilson - read the rule book mate, it was a two footed studs showing challenge! It's a sending off!! Why is it always someone else's fault

Sssssshhhhhh, of course he knows it was really a red.

It was probably part of the plan, and he instructed the ever reliable Beattie to get himself sent off as part of his masterplan to screw up the playoffs.

The blunts will lap it up though, don't blow our Agent's cover now!

2 footed, studs showing, no debate.

Everyone knows the rules, yes refs sometimes miss them and people may win the ball with them, but they are thd rules and have been for some time.

An appeal will get thrown out faster than you can say they bottled it again.

I'm sure that'll go down well with the panel. He must really not want Beattie anywhere near the pitch.
