norris
OK, just been thinking. It might actually work in our favour for Palace to win their next couple of games. I've just done the BBC calculator and I reckon that Watford or Sflaphorpe are still our best bet for finishing third bottom. If Palace are safe by the last game then we have a much better chance of beating them. Might be crucial. Anyone agree, or am I clutching at straws. DamnedOwl
I understand you're reasoning, but I'm not sure I'd back our current team to win a 'must-win' game.
shabbyhouse
I'd thought this a while ago, and mostly, I agree. Trouble is, it demands faith in our ability to actually win rather than draw, and a grim suppression of a feeling that somehow Palace 'cheated' by living beyond their means, and being rewarded for it by surviving the drop. BRADDAZ
Rather have Watford, Palace and Scunny in the mix with us for as long as possible. Preferably with all four team still involved on the last day of the season.
Guest mozzyblue
The more teams with a chance to take the last spot the better for us.
shez owl
I agree, said it after game on Monday. Annoyed they are not down already but with Watford playing a completly poo Coventry, I would rather play a team who will be mentally on the beach after a hard slog. DJMortimer
Some were arguing that Bristol City had nothing left to play for.
Wednesday-Wonderland
I see your point, but on Monday we played against a Brizzle team who had nothing to play for and consequently they weren't playing at 100%, but we still lost. And Palace are a better team than them.
