Good on Joe. Currently in joint 1st place for the L1 Golden Boot. Showed courage in rejecting a new deal here IMO.

Dawson did something very similar last season with a record number of clean sheets.

 

Tbh I think its also a comment on how crap a lot of League 1 sides are.

Didnt he lose his place to Vickers in jan/Feb and then got it back when the latter got injured  .   Whatever a change of scenery  seems to have done him well .

Sometimes you need to move away from the club you developed with before you can grow.  People remember you as a second or third choice and can't get their head round the fact that you have grown up and developed. Moving to a new club lets you start with none of the baggage you had before. It's obviously worked for Wildsmith.
