I'm not exactly a glass half full person myself but give them a chance.

 

 

I can't see where i'm not giving them the chance - just being realistic

 

I don't go overboard on the back of a decent performance - and neither do i write them off after a less than impressive game - i know that for everything they have achieved so far the next bit is the most difficult - establishing themselves and developing a career

 

And for every late developer that came through there are hundreds of "the next best thing" that never made it

I thought O'Grady had the better game against Carlisle between him and Nielsen, and despite being on his weaker foot, he looked more confident with the ball at his feet.

 

I was slightly surprised to see Nielsen be included ahead of O'Grady since then, although Nielsen is huge, of course, which is a useful attribute in a centre back.
