Rudolf Austin refused permit

JJ was born before 1983, so as a Commonwealth citizen he always had a right to live in the UK.

Anyone born after 1983 (like Austin) isn't so lucky.

I remember JJ having trouble getting back in the UK after a pre season tour of Holland due to visa issues.

Thing is if we wait 2 weeks we will sign Austin. Jamaica's Gold Cup run will get them in the world's top 50 and make a mockery of things. The average stuff cannot work.

Just a couple of quotes from my Leeds supporting mates -

"Lucky escape"

"Had the odd good game but more often than not was quite poor"

"Runs around a lot aimlessly!"

"He was nicknamed 'Beast' but it should have been 'Fairy'"

"headless chicken!"

To be fair, they didn't have much to say about Lees either so sounds like we'll have a player on our hands if we can get it over the line!

I've always rated him when I've seen him play. Looked great against us. Not sure he's £25k a week good though!

I can understand they want to give more English players a chance to play but they should be focusing on stopping teams like Arsenal filling their academies with unknown foreign youngsters rather than stopping senior international footballers signing for English clubs
