Guest LEGEND
We started off with one upfront and 5 in midfield. We play a long ball upfront to a small striker completely missing out the midfield with no fluid football. We then all of a sudden have 5 strikers on the pitch and 1 midfielder. You can't win a game of football this way. I hope Gray learns this for next season. Its pointless having that amount of strikers on the pitch if there isn't anyone to pass them the ball. Im not sure if Roeder was there today, but with him being a football man, surely he'll notice the error in Grays ways.
BFR
He had 5 strikers on the pitch multiple times last season. I thought he had realised that it doesn't work without someone to supply the ball. Hopefully with the investment the squad gets some balance, based on his record I wouldn't be wanting Roeder to be telling Gray what to do though. chad
out of 7 subs we had 4 strikers 1 midfielder 1 keeper and a defender where would you like Gray to pull fit midfielders in from?
EcclesallOwl
Gray has done it all season (and last) The way to change the game isn't to chuck all your strikers up field. You've got to have some sort of midfield to supply them.
Ronio
I just think we lack the quality in certain areas. We were also missing a few first teams players as well.
Geörge Whitebread
He brought every striker on except the one we patently should've started with. Did we win a single aerial battle? Did we retain possession and link play at all? We relied on defensive mistakes, ref's decisions and luck to make any sort pf forward progress. Diabolocal!
