If you look at this: GK: Westwood, Kirkland, Wildsmith RB: Palmer, Buxton, Young LB: Mattock, Floro, Helan CB: Loovens, Lees, Kamikaze DF: Semedo, Hutchinson MF: Lee, Coke, McCabe, Corry WR: Maguire, Maghoma CF: May, Nuhiu, Madine Taken Lavery off because of the injury, Kelhar out for season. Ones in bold are untested at this level. 23 players. 5 of which are untested. 18 players that are tested (even then some not good enough to compete) No one to bring on when the wingers get tired/have an off day. (Helan isn't and never will be a winger) We have 9 players that are not defenders (or keepers), who could impact at this level.... Surely you can see we're desperate for different options? Ideally I'd like a midfielder, a winger and a young centre back. My arguement is with people who describe the squad as 'threadbare'. It isn't, it is just that we have many players who aren't good enough. Numbers wise, we are ONE player short only of having enough players. mozzy85 Posted August 24, 2014 Share Posted August 24, 2014 Apart from CM RB GK at a push LB but Helan is not a defender we are weak as f##k and need 4 players coming in I personally dont think we need 4, 1 cb to replace kelhar seen as he's out for god knows how long.
