I Love This Club

That Bolton game was my first game at Hillsborough! Andy Booth scored a hat trick and he was my favourite player until he left us! When I was mascot against Sheff United in 2001 in the League cup, I saved the front page of my autograph book for him! Haha.

And as for the south stand, i've always sat in the south stand, because i've always gone with my family..like a lot of people in the south. For the penalty against Blackburn, I didn't stand up until the ball went in..not because I have less passion, but because theres a child who sits behind me, if i stand up he can't see! I've been to every league game this season, home and away! Unlike most of you undoubtedly! You shouldn't start slating people for sitting in the south..when they pay more money to the club than those in the north or kop!

With the result on tuesday we're finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel after a long and difficult season. The OP is entitled to a bit of positivity. Also this could be two consecutive seasons we have out performed utd. Hasn't happened much in the last 10 or so years.

The jokes aimed at the south are only a bit of fun but perhaps it should be recognised the south/grandstand is part of what makes us massive. It shows we have appeal beyond the die-hards and that is something a lot of clubs dont have.

The South Stand jokes are just that, jokes.

I mean no one really thinks we should kill fans over 50.

Pass the Werthers.... :milan:

Over 60s should be killed

Can't understand this hatred of the South Stand. many of us go there to get away from the 'crazy' brigade so we can watch a football match in comfort. It does NOT mean we sit there with our arms crossed, hate the club, and can only make negative comments.

I have followed Wednesday since NINETEEN FOURTY SIX, a mere 68 years  I have seen more ups and downs than many of you. I have seen the good times when we were one of the first teams to play European opposition, when we were challenging for the Premiership, and the FA Cup. I've also seen the bad times, and groaned at the way the team played, the way the club was run and many other things. I even had to complain about people in front of me jumping up and down BEFORE Lita took the penalty on Sat. Believe me, things do get passionate in the South. You may not see it, or hear it . This is mainly due to the roof holding the sound back. Yes. We do criticise the team, the Manager, the state of the pitch, the Referee and many other things, just as many of the Kop spectators do. But, please don't tell a life-long supporter who travells from Buxton through the Peak District to watch every home game, that he hates the club. If the team is playing badly, I will say so,. Equally I am fulsome in my praise if things go right.

Rant over.

Just lamp Neil next time you see him mate
