Guest badger the owl
I think we should attack with more numbers insted of 4-5-1 ,Hull arn't a great championship side and were there for the taking. Home fans won't keep turning up if the team don't take the game to the opposition. Sorry if this is spelt wrong i'm a bit pissed.

Utah Owl
4-5-1 at home says everything about the state of mind of DJ at the moment. Last season it was win at all costs so we took chances and won. Now it seems to be an Irvinesque avoid defeat at all costs with similar results.
Greeton
Its not about the formation, its about distance between players. If we play 451 we have to have a midfielder close to run on to flick ons or take the ball off the hold up forward. The reason to play 5 in midfield is for when we don't have the ball. we struggle to get players forward quick enough expecting the forward to receive the ball, turn, run 30 yards and shoot. This is never going to happen, At the moment the midfielders are always 15-20 yards away from the forward when we have it at the back.
jimbob 13
Defending higher up the pitch brings all the lines closer together thus not isolating the lone forward
