Guest Sheff Owl
Do we have a rule where ONLY Chris Lines is allowed to take them? He seems to push everyone else off them and take them.. Please DJ bring someone in who can improve these areas. He is obsessed with floating balls in from corners, can he not put any in with pace? Floating balls are a goalkeepers dream - TOO BLOODY EASY!!!
Guest ak15
lines really is a weak link, yet he is undroppable everytime he takes a direct free kick, everyone knows whats coming his delivery from wide areas lack pace and are too easy to defend against doesnt score enough goals for a midfielder either i hope jones gets a replacement in asap
Guest Sheff Owl
We have no variation on free kicks, like you say it's the same thing every single time, it's easy to defend against. The opposition only needs to watch the DVD of the previous game to know what we are gonna do.

Floating balls are a goalkeepers dream - TOO BLOODY EASY!!! Agree with this, we were predictable with the constant long throw, which DJ looks to be changing, any opposition studying tapes of our games would be able to see that we use Lines with the floated ball all the time, makes it easier for their defence to sort. He also seems to take all of the free kicks. When Llera took one Saturday it was different and caused problems. Must vary corner and free kick takers/variety. gurujuan
Hopefully all will be sorted tomorrow, 3 signings, a playmaker, a wide left man and a pacy goalscorer. Not an overreaction to tonight, we just reversed what everyone else did last weekend. Dave Jones needs a few of his own players in there. As usual people got a little carried away after a few good results claiming that we didn't need any new players
edinburghowl
I've just said this in the Lines thread. His free kicks are poor. No pace, easy to defend, and he never looks like scoring with any of his shots.
Guest Sheff Owl
I really don't see how he thinks his Corners/Free Kicks are acceptable? If he did something different then fair enough but he doesn't even attempt too.
mark77
Erm we scored from his corner tonight, just like the last home game... Short memories some people! I've just said this in the Lines thread. His free kicks are poor. No pace, easy to defend, and he never looks like scoring with any of his shots. Apart from tonights that nearly went in... Again short memories!
