Agree with that. So your way of showing your frustrations is by slating Clinton Morrison. How old are you? Do you like fake Burberry caps? In which case their priority was to last that long, not to go knackering themselves chasing goals and going out of their way to be match winners. We had - and did - have the players needed elsewhere to win the match. So job done and seemingly well done. I thought your contradictory post was very funny so I thought a picture told a thousand words. I haven't been today, obviously, so can't comment on Morrison's performance. Morrison, likeable lad, could have an infectious personality - but was worse than poor last season. Waste of a shirt last year IMO. At times embarrassing. And I think his stinking performances collectively had a collective effect on the team as well. Moaning and groaning all the flipping time (on big money). The excuse of no pre-season was just that. An excuse. You can play yourself into form. I just think he doesn't have it anymore. At the moment we don't have any alternative - so give him a go, and if people are going to give him a go, then to judge him on one game seems unfair. I suspect he is on a big wage and can't be moved on - otherwise he would have gone with the rest. I hope he proves me wrong - but I won't hold my breath. My Mother always said 'if you can't say anything nice then don't say anything at all'. So I have kept silent on Clinton and I hope for the best. But I made an exception for Irvine. Sheffield Wednesday had a bad season last time out, all the players had spells where they were f'kin useless. Clinton as stayed at our club and he wants to make up for last season, why not let him? One pre season friendly and some wee pipe heads are on his back already. New season, new start, thats how it works. I know you like to get up peoples noses but come on, you know the score. Last season Morrison had a poor season but he could not get into the team because of Madine and Mellor - who were brilliant and they were starting to form a very good partnership. If Mellor comes back no doubt Megson will want to get back to that unless he changes formation and goes with one Striker. Who is to say Morrison will still be here come January? if he can't get in the team because of Mellor/Madine or O'Grady then maybe he will decide he want's out fair enough but if come January if he has scored say 7/8 goals our leading scorer - do people still slag him off or do they turn on Madine/Mellor because he has not scored enough? TBF I don't agree with many of MARKOWLS posts. But he has some valid points. He was dire/awful/embarrassing, last year. You can't change his opinion, or mine. Only Morrison can and, not by bullshitting either. Over to you Clinton? Walk the walk - not just talk the talk. I hope he does, personally (as I think most others do). He was poo last year and he knows that we know it. GM either won't or can't get rid for now and it's in all our best interests for him to do better. We'll soon see.
