sheffield_dave
Oh goody, another thread where people can be wrong about Di Canio and Carbone. As for Italian managers doing well over here, is there really any evidence for this? Ancelotti guided Chelsea to the title last season, sure, but it's not like they're pulling up any tree's this season.

Guest Bigals
Maybe Lee Strafford was a follower of this bizarre theory. Scottish managers do well, Shankly, Ferguson, Dalglish, Moyes, Busby. Lets get Alan Irvine!!!!!!! Where he went wrong was the others are Managers........Irvine is just Scottish I would go for tried and trusted such as Allerdyce or Hughton (if they would come) but I have a sneaky feeling that DiCanio will make a good manager. I could forgive and forget (until we started losing anyway)

Guest starrydave
Would love to see DiCanio as manager personally really? He's fascist scum - akin to the nazis! Don't think he would fit in with our family club.
Guest Brigadier
Scottish managers usually do well. Oh wait...
TheGaffer
Yes really, not as much as I'd want Berkamp here (if we could tempt him away from Ajax) but as he's not Italian guess that's for another thread. The reasons for both are the similar though. Both big personalities in football, would command respect instantly, winners, I think they would have us playing proper football and I believe especially in the case of Dennis that the academy would be sorted out properly once and for all.
