ALAN IRVINE transfer record

Recommended Posts

mellor and morrisson were shoe ins at this level

but im not imprssed with the rest of them.

Coke looks a good player.

Teale has been ok.

Jones seems reasonably talented, but hasn't had a long run of games.

Ostemebor isn't very good unfortunately.

Heffernan is a good player at this level, but Irvine clearly doesn't rate him.

Weaver was a terrific signing.

Not a terrible effort - but I don't want Irvine spending money in January, mainly because I don't want him as our manager.

He can't get the best out of what he inherited, or was he brought to the club himself.

I stared at that list thinking *I'm sure there were 9 signings in the summer.*

In the end I accepted that we had only signed 8.

Think that says everything about old Sedgewicks contributions thus far.

His crosses disagree :P perfectly placed 90% of the time

he just lacks speed to keep up with the faster tempos of some teams in this division.

He rarely gets into the position to cross, mainly cause he has no pace.

Don't rate the guy, sorry.

Agreed, the amount of times he's had to wait for buxton to overlap for him to pass is unbelievable as he just isn't fast enough to beat a man anymore. What about him in centre midfield?

Didn't he play in CM for PNE?

Any Preston fans like to enlighten us.

Potter, O'Connor, Potter, O'Connor, Potter, O'Connor.

Talk about a never ending spiral of doom and misery.

i do love O'Connors spirit though bless him

especially in the last match of last season... played his little ginger heart out

we need to combine him with a player of skill and he would be unstoppable!

Sedgewick apart all of his signings have been either OK or good.

Morrison is the best striker we have had here in years and Weaver is a great signing for nowt.

Irvine has his weaknesses but his transfer record (here, I couldn't give a flying **** about Preston) is not one of them.

put sedgwick in the ok or good section and i totally agree

If I remember correctly the PNE fan that came on here praised him for some bargins, but also said that he wasted money when he spent big.

Perhaps he works better under stricter budgets.
