The money paid out was £250k reducing the training ground loan. £685k reducing the bank overdraft, and £565k interest and bank chargers.

That's a total of £1.500m not available to spend on players. Now when you're mid-table with a chance of the play offs, that is a lot of money not to be able to spend in the right areas.

We don't know this seasons figures yet, but how much did this cost us to send us down? Remember the bank don't want anything back until after we're promoted to the Premier League!

Bet you're wrong (for example, look at the actual break out of the 565k interest and bank charges, and pretty sure you'll see we accrued 214k of it. We did pay down 250k of the training loan plus the 348k of the overdraft and loans......but me thinks you need to read the accounts more closely.

The overdraft being lower at year end could be a cashflow quirk.

Interest cost in the I&E plus the reduction in loan capital gives the figure you need.

Also this is 08/09 - Lee was referring to ongoing cost of the debt which may be different (we are now 3 months into 10/11)

Quoting this is like pointing out the score in a game during the 08/09 season. Slightly interesting but not entirely relevant.

Did we receive any fees/payments for players in that time, seem to remember the agreement was that anything over £2m went to the bank, wasn't it around that time we received payments (although the transfers were concluded earlier) for Bougherra, Brunt and Whelan?
