Frank Simek - a shadow of the player he was

Micheal Gray - legs seem to have gone since Christmas

Richard Hinds - ok as back up, if cheap keep him on?

Sean McAllister - not broken through when those infront have been poor

Ettienne Esajas - lazy, and not 10% the player he thinks he is

Akpo Sodje - simply not good enough for this level (or indeed L1 IMO)

Leon Clarke - not consistent enough

Francis Jeffers - in terms of output per £ the worst player we have had since the 'Scottish lads'. I think he is a good player but would only keep him if he agreed to a fraction of the money

Plus a couple of others in the reserves

They would all get a handshake and a single tram ticket to the station as far as I am concerned.

What about Buxton/Potter/Beevers?

Keep McAllister from that lot, may do us good as a cheap but decent midfielder in L1 next year, but if we stay up, let him go too...

Seriously there can be NO SENTIMENT we had had some right poo performences and NOW is the time to start clearing some of these out, they just have not done it.

To many people have either been off form, injured or just pure rubbish and it's not good enough there need's to be a huge clearout.

There should ONLY be about 3 or 4 players that we even consider keeping on, the rest can flip right off and should be told that the minute the final whistle ends no matter what League we are in.

My worry as i have said before is that if Alan Irvine belives that these players are good enough to still play for us and keeps many of them on, we could be in for another rubbish season and that is not good enough.

We need to rebuild the playing squad!!

Two minutes in the shredding room should sort it! Whatever League we are in, IMO, unless there is a sudden influx of cash, we are trully stuffed. Most of our players are out of contract and seeminly don't give two rumbles about playing for now contracts. Can't see how a trip into League one is going to motivate this collective of turds to stay with us, even if we wanted them. Complete re-build needed (again).

Would get rid of the lot with exception of Hinds - lets see how many ' big time ' championship clubs call on these players for contracts. ALL the clubs will be cutting wage bills with the exception of premiership relegated clubs - and probably Portsmouth in even bigger mess than many financially restrained championship clubs. Be interesting to see how many players out of work. They have to hit the harsh realities of the wider economy outside their own little world.

How many of those above have put in 100% effort and commitment - granted Simek has never recovered from his Stoke injury.

As for Jeffers reported 10 K per week will any others offer this package ???
