big moz Posted March 22 Share Posted March 22 Like others, i wouldn't use James as a replacement for Johnson, but to play Marv further forward. The team then better balanced. He is a steadier left-sided defender than either Marv or Akin and you can see oppo's targetting that area consistently with success as their lack of positioning nous, pace and concentration is clear. On the other flank, Pol's energy and Dom's physicality give a decent enough platform defensively and something to worry about when with the ball going forwards. I guess James may be rusty but others have been indulged in other areas of the squad and either let us down (Fletcher and Wilks especially) or done a decent job when called upon. 2 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
G-Reg Posted March 22 Share Posted March 22 I don't think James is better than anything we have in the current formation. We'd have ot play a back four and offer plenty of protection.
