Anyone think Simpson would be a decent relatively cheap option? Why is he still without a club? He looked good upfront with Aluko at the start of last season for Hull. We've needed one for donkeys years. That is why it was so important to make a proper fist of trying to sign ALF. A Tony Cottee type would be an ideal signing fo us. Someone like Billy Sharpe even. As much as I - and others - would welcome him, he probably wouldn't contemplate joining us unless we really were his only option; and it sounds as though half the champ + Celtic are after him.
