I don't think the steward knows what he's talking about, all of crowd control are down to the Police, they dictate what has to happen, like other posters have said in this thread, Friday night was a sorry night for SYP when put under pressure, they had to earn their money and imo were useless and slow, but we will see tarpaulin back now.

I wondered if the steward was off his trolley, he wasn't a young bloke though and I think he's fairly high up amongst stewards, he is always outside the entrance to the North Stand at the Lepp, and he was very insistant that the descision to close the exit came from the club, I'll ask a copper at the next home game.

They should keep away fans in the ground if there is a chance of trouble. To allow both sets of fans out at the same time is basically saying they want it to kick off.
