latemodelchild
Correct history does define, but why would it be so much better to be 3rd than 5th? Does it really matter how old we are? It may wee wee Chesterfield off. It's our rightful title by the looks of it. We should celebrate and trade on our history more.

jasowl
See page 144 of my Sheffield Wednesday Miscellany book - we ARE the third oldest professional club. Research has proven that both Stoke and Chessie are younger so we are third behind the two Nottingham clubs. The problem is changing records as I have twice written to Rothmas/Sky Sports Yearbook to point out Kovacevic is our record sale @ £4.6m and both formation dates are wrong for Stoke and Chessie but they refuse to budge with regard to changes......
