I was plussed 5 times and negged twice. full fathom five Posted October 28, 2012 Author Share Posted October 28, 2012 I think Jones is trying to stop us being as direct and going through the midfield more. But with the system he is using we need to learn to get one or more midfielders in turn getting beyond the striker as we currently only have Antonio doing this, if we can do this its so hard to defend against, Brian Robson, Paul Scholes and Frank Lampard have made successful careers doing this. It looks like our midfielders were getting up and in some cases ahead of our striker against Ipswich (all 3 goals coming from midfield) which is, when done right very difficult to defend against.
